World Alzheimer’s Month takes place every September. This is a global opportunity that encourages people to raise awareness, educate and support people affected by dementia.
At The Good Care Group, many of our clients are living with Dementia and our Carers work incredibly hard to provide exceptional care to ensure they live happy in the comfort of their own home. As a way of showing support The Alzheimer’s Association suggested for people to wear purple to raise awareness. It was lovely to see the employees at The Good Care Group get involved through wearing the colour purple, baking delicious cakes and getting creative. We really enjoy coming together to take part in such a great cause.
Jane Pritchard (Our Admiral Nurse) shares:
“Raising awareness for Alzheimer’s is so important as it can enable people living with dementia to get an earlier diagnosis. This allows time to make choices about the type of care that is available, and to help others to understand the condition to offer the best support possible”.
