Day Trips to Remember
When Care Manager L discussed social and stimulating activities with the family at the initial assessment for Mrs M, the family said that they were unsure if she would be ok on a bus with strangers. Mrs M has a diagnosis of dementia – she is often reserved and it has always been very hard to get her involved in tasks such as cooking, games or other social activities.
However, Professional Carer ML arrived in placement, and with the permission of Mrs M’s family, she took her out on the bus to explore the beautiful area she lives in.
Mrs M had a lovely day out in Salisbury and enjoyed sitting upstairs on the double decker bus at the front. Mrs M and her Professional Carer had a pub lunch before exploring the Cathedral, and then enjoying an ice cream. They also had lovely fun filled days out in Winchester and at Stonehenge.
Here’s proof that with skilled carers and good carer matching from our Scheduling Team and Care Managers we can support our clients to have the best adventures!
