Types of home care we provide in Mayfair
When you’re looking for the right type of home care for yourself or a loved one, we know how difficult it can be to try and decipher between the different options available. The Good Care Group is proud to offer both live-in care and hourly care to our clients in the Mayfair area. Find out more about these two types of home care below.
Hourly care in Mayfair
Hourly care can be provided if you or a loved one need help with various chores such as cleaning and laundry, or even cooking a meal or two. We can also offer personal assistance with bathing, toileting and dressing. Our hourly home care allows you the option to live your life the way you wish and to also maintain your independence.
Our professional carers in Mayfair can pop in for as little as an hour a week over three days if you need a few items from a local shop or someone to collect medication. We can even accompany you to walk your beloved pet companion if you wish. The important thing is that we can be as flexible as you need. We employ carers from your area so they will be familiar with your community – such as the nearest pharmacy or places of interest.
We know it’s important for you or your loved one to maintain as much independence as possible, so we provide support to enable you to live your life the way you would like to. Our flexibility means that if your needs change, we can amend your care plan accordingly.
Live-in care in Mayfair
If you or a family member has complex health needs, our live-in care option may be more suitable. As the name suggests, we can arrange for one of our carers to move in with you, which means that our carers are on hand to assist you 24 hours a day. That way, you receive care as and when required.
Here at The Good Care Group, we match live-in carers to our clients to ensure that the best care possible is delivered. We choose carers with experience with specific health conditions, taking into consideration their personality, likes and interests to ensure they are the best match for you or your loved one. You can then feel assured that you or your family member are receiving the best care possible.
By choosing live-in care from our professional carers in Mayfair, you can remain in your home – with the people you know and love around you, where you feel the most comfortable, instead of facing the uncertainty of moving into residential care. If you are living with a complex medical condition such as Alzheimer’s or cancer and it is you or a family member who needs extra assistance, live-in care provides you with options, reassurance, and for couples, a much more affordable option.

Jessica Monaghan
Hourly Regional Manager,
I’m Jessica, Hourly Care Manager for The Good Care Group. I first joined the company in 2019 as a Live-in Care Manager, which I did for two years before leaving to start up an hourly care service for a franchise provider in North London. I rejoined The Good Care Group in 2022 as the Hourly Care Manager.
As Hourly Care Manager, my role involves working alongside our client services team, assessing new clients, creating robust care plans and risk assessments of their needs and working alongside the scheduling team to find a suitable match of carer for each client to ensure that their care is set up to achieve the best outcomes. I may also need to work alongside our Occupational Therapist or Consultant Admiral Nurse when setting up more complex care placements. My role varies day to day, and a lot of what I do involves supporting my team of carers and my clients with whatever the day brings.
My career in health and social care started in 2010. Since then, I have worked in various roles including as a carer, care scheduler, care supervisor, care manager and registered care manager.
As part of my role, I need to complete regular calls to check in and stay up to date with my care team and clients. Every three months, my care team is called for supervision and clients have visits and monitoring calls to ensure that they are happy with the care being provided to them. Clients also have six-monthly or monthly reviews of their care. If there are incidents or accidents, I provide support to them to ensure the safety of everyone involved, ensuring to review risk assessments and care plans to prevent future occurrences. I also work with the training team and support carers with their career development. My role is to ensure that the care team feels supported and clients are happy with the care and support that they are receiving.
I hold a Level 5 in Health and Social Care and have supported individuals with a wide range of needs including dementia, palliative care, Parkinson’s, cancer, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, learning disabilities, autism, mental health and neurological conditions.
Alongside my Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, I also hold a Level 3 in Education and Training, BILD Assessors qualification and an Open University qualification in Autism Awareness. I am a first aid instructor, moving and handling instructor and medication trainer. I believe that training is a vital part of the care role and continual development ensures the individuals that we support get the quality care they need.
I have witnessed both obstacles and successes within the sector and seen first-hand what difference can be made whether big or small in someone's life. I believe that the journey I have taken from starting as a carer to becoming a manager has allowed me to understand what support needs to be provided not only to the individuals we support, but the amazing carers that are providing it. I understand the importance of ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered, and enjoy leading and encouraging my team to work towards the best possible outcomes. I am an experienced care manager and have managed both hourly and live-in care in a home care setting. I have been able to see the benefits of people receiving care in their own home and remaining at home.
I am very proud of the journey I have been on to get to where I am currently in my career. I feel proud of my development and that I have been able to witness everything I have along the way from a carer to a manager.
Services we offer in Mayfair
Better than a Mayfair care agency
The Good Care Group is a fully-managed home care provider, which means we are bound by stringent guidelines set by our regulators, the Care Quality Commission. We are also regularly inspected, with our most recent inspection rating being ‘Outstanding. Unlike other care agencies in Mayfair, we employ and train all of our carers ourselves, which means we are able to provide you with care if your regular carer is away. We are also able to take care of all paperwork and Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) background checks, unlike other agencies who would require carers to arrange this themselves. We also offer a range of perks and staff benefits for our carers in recognition of their good work and service to us.
Private care in Mayfair to support you at home
Mayfair has a lot to see; many cafés, boutiques and art galleries. We can ensure that you do not miss out on the many attractions and places of interest, as well as provide all-around private care for you in your own home. Even if our carers join you on a trip to an art gallery or coffee shop, you choose the time which suits you. You might like to take a stroll through Berkeley Square or visit Apsley House to view some historic pieces of art; we can tailor our visits to suit you so that your care fulfils your social preferences, as well as any personal care needs.

Whatever your symptoms, medical needs or personal choice, we can help.
Staying at home provides you with comfort in familiar surroundings with the people you love and care for around you. Domiciliary care is used to describe care at home and is an ideal way to live life on your own terms with additional help provided by a care team. Our professional domiciliary carers can assist you or your loved one in the home. This can take the form of assistance with household chores, preparing meals or other tasks in and around your home. Helping you wash your hair, get dressed or remind you to take medication are just some of the things our domiciliary carers can do.

Short-term respite care is provided by our team of experienced carers in Mayfair, who are on hand to step in and help out on a short-term basis.

Our five-day induction programme is delivered by a team of experienced, in-house trainers, delivering a suite of modules such as first aid, dementia care, end-of-life care and manual handling.
