Who is emergency care for?

Emergency care at home can be used to support a variety of immediate and ongoing care needs. Here are a few situations in which emergency care could benefit you:

  • After an accident: if you experience an accident, fall or injury and find daily activities challenging, our carers can step in to assist you until you regain your independence.
  • Carer cover: in the event your regular caregiver requires a break or is unavailable, emergency care ensures continuity of support.
  • Sudden illness: unforeseen diagnoses or sudden illnesses can leave you fatigued and unable to manage your routine tasks.
  • Following a hospital stay: if you’ve recently been discharged from hospital and need time to recover and rehabilitate, emergency care can support you during this transitional period.

What are the benefits of emergency care at home?

Receiving emergency care at home provides many benefits for you and your family. From ensuring your complex care needs are met, to maintaining a clean and comfortable space.

One of our care managers will work with you to create a detailed care plan based on your unique preferences, health needs and lifestyle. So you can rest assured that you’ll receive the very best care, tailored to you.

Why choose The Good Care Group?

With award-winning emergency care, you can maintain your independence and quality of life in the place you love most.

In-house carer training

All of our carers complete a training programme developed by in-house clinicians before being assigned to a placement. Plus, they’ll receive additional enhanced training for complex care needs.

Fully managed service

We are not a care agency. We directly employ, train, and supervise all of our carers. That means you’ll receive consistent, reliable support, from carers we know and trust.

Dementia care experts

Our in-house experts, including Clinical Lead Sabah Shah and Dementia Champion Nichola Proctor, support our care teams to deliver compassionate dementia care at every stage of the condition.

Award-winning care

We’ve won more awards than any other home care provider for our service, training and culture. Including a Home Care Award, and a National Dementia Care Award.

What does emergency care include?

Our emergency care service is designed to be highly-personalised and tailored to your unique needs. We’ll conduct a free care consultation before care starts, usually within 24 hours of your initial call, and develop a detailed care plan, which can include various types of support to help you during your day-to-day life, such as:

  • Medication management
  • Personal care
  • Medical care overseen by experienced clinicians
  • Help around the home
  • Pet care
  • Support with social activities
  • Companionship
