What home care services do we provide?
We provide a range of highly personalised home care services, including 24-hour, live-in care, day care (in London only) and a respite care service for family carers who require a much-needed break from caring for a loved one.
Here is a brief overview of the types of home care we provide:
- Live-in care: One of our professional and compassionate carers will come and live with you in your home to provide you with round-the-clock care, companionship and support. Our live-in care is focused on helping you maintain independence, choice and dignity whilst living a purposeful and meaningful life.
- Hourly care: Hourly home care is provided to people living in their own homes who require additional support with day-to-day life. An hourly carer will visit you at home throughout the week to provide you with the assistance you need, when you need it. Our service is flexible so you can have as many hours as you require to make sure you have the support you require.
- Overnight care: For many individuals with care and support needs, being left alone throughout the night can be challenging. Our sleeping night care and waking night care services are available to ensure you or your loved one enjoys a good night’s rest whilst receiving the dedicated support needed.
- Respite care: Respite care is a short and flexible arrangement that allows for a person to be cared for in the comfort and familiarity of their own home by a professional carer. This gives family carers the opportunity to enjoy a break and recharge their batteries.
- Complex care: Complex care is a form of expert specialist care provided to individuals with substantial and ongoing healthcare needs as a result of chronic illness, disabilities or following hospital treatment. Our high quality, compassionate service ensures an individual is able to live a fulfilling life and maintain their lifestyle choices, regardless of any medical condition.
Better than a home care agency
The Good Care Group is not a care agency; we employ and train all of our professional carers so that they meet the exceptional standards that we set across all of our home care services. This ensures continuity of care for our clients and also carers that are loyal to us and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that clients are looked after in the best way possible.
Being a fully-managed care provider also means that we have a pool of highly-trained carers available to step in at a moment’s notice if your regular care becomes unwell or needs to take a leave of absence. Choosing a home care agency would mean that you would need to arrange for any carer absences yourself, which can create more stress and worry for an individual and their loved ones.
Why choose The Good Care Group?
There are many compelling reasons we’re leading the way in home care services across the UK. Through our expertly trained carers, experienced clinical leads and holistic and highly personalised delivery of care, we are dedicated to keeping people safer, happier and healthier at home.
Here are some of the reasons to consider our fully-managed home care services for yourself or a loved one:
The UK’s most awarded live-in care provider
Our commitment to delivering the highest standard of care has seen us continually achieve the best possible rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and become the UK’s most awarded and accredited provider of home care services.
A fully-managed service and 24/7 support
We are a fully-managed care service provider. This means we recruit, train, manage and pay your care team, making the process as easy as possible for you. Our regional care teams manage fewer clients than our competitors, so you enjoy better levels of quality care.
Industry-leading recruitment and training
After a detailed recruitment process, our carers undertake a five-day, in-house training programme that is regarded above and beyond the industry requirements, which evaluates their aptitude and attitude, as well as ensuring they all have the skills required to deliver outstanding care.
A personalised plan of support
Each of our clients receives a comprehensive care plan completely tailored to their unique care needs, wants and preferences. We take a holistic approach to care that is focused on enhancing health and well-being, whilst improving overall quality of life.
Unrivalled specialist expertise
We offer high quality, nurse-led home care that supports people living with a number of complex conditions, allowing them to live a fulfilled and purposeful life at home. Our Specialist Care eService is overseen by our Consultant Admiral Nurse, Dr Jane Pritchard, and our Occupational Therapist, Jackie Cooper. Depending on your requirements, our team can offer specialist support that is overseen by our experienced clinicians and delivered by our professional carers who are provided with bespoke training to fulfil your care needs.
Exceptional carers
Only 2% of our applicants are successful when applying to become a carer; that’s because we only select the very best to support our clients. We require all carers to have at least six months’ experience before joining us, as well as an enhanced background check. We are also very vigilant when selecting our carers; our situational judgement test and rapport we build with them during their five-day training programme helps us to ensure that we know that they genuinely do care and have the empathy and compassion it takes to become a full-time live-in carer.
