About me
“I’m Laura, Content Manager at The Good Care Group. I look after all things content and website-related, ensuring that our content is relevant across all marketing channels, including search.
“I’ve worked for The Good Care Group since 2022 and have to say I have never been happier. Working for a company where you feel valued for your contribution gives me the motivation to continue to strive for the best for myself, my colleagues and the carers and clients that we look after.
“I have personal experience of a loved one living with dementia, as well as other family members receiving care at home, so I really understand the importance of the right care and support for those with dementia or general frailty. Working in the home care industry is something that is very close to my heart, and I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
“In my spare time, I love playing netball and spending time with my young daughter and partner.”
Qualifications and experience
Laura has a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Secondary Education.
She has worked in marketing for over six years, starting as PR Officer at West Midland Safari Park and later PR and Communications Executive at Halfords. She then moved to the care industry, beginning her time as a content writer and quickly progressing to specialise in search engine optimisation (SEO). She has amassed several years creating content in the health care industry, including blogs, website copy, social media campaigns and press releases. She joined The Good Care Group in the summer of 2022, where she is building on the digital marketing strategy with a new marketing team.
Laura has previously worked as a support worker and assistant psychologist, as well as a teaching assistant and then a teacher of English at secondary level.
