About The Good Care Group
Our compassionate carers provide high-quality care at home to thousands of people across the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Guided by the principles of trust, respect, empathy and professionalism, our goal is to ensure everyone receives the support they need to continue enjoying an independent and fulfilling life.
Our award-winning services
The Good Care is a fully regulated and managed provider of home care services that empower people to live comfortably in their homes for longer. Our services include our award-winning, CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ live-in care, nurse-led care, respite care and hourly care.
We believe in delivering the very highest standards of care by operating nationwide through close knit local teams. Keeping such small client portfolios allows us to offer a tailored service with higher levels of monitoring and support than other care providers can offer.
Better than a care agency
Unlike introductory agencies, we directly employ and manage our carers and match them closely to a client’s needs and interests. Each is supervised by an experienced manager and supported by clinical experts, as well as a 24/7 emergency helpline.
The Good Care Group is part of a family of home care brands in the UK, including Oxford Aunts and Comfort Keepers (Ireland).
Why choose The Good Care Group?
There are many compelling reasons why you should choose The Good Care Group to provide the bespoke and highly-personalised care you need:
History & values
The Good Care Group was founded in 2009 by Fiona Lowry, inspired by a family member with dementia moving into a care home. Fiona recognised that many people with dementia experience worsening symptoms when they leave their homes, losing independence, security, and familiarity. Most people prefer to stay at home.
Seeing a lack of high-quality care providers, Fiona set up The Good Care Group, becoming the first chief executive and opening an office in central London. Her ambition was to improve standards, professionalise home care, and lead the sector.
Today, we are one of the few live-in care providers rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and one of the most awarded home care providers in the industry. Milestones include launching live-in care in Scotland (2012), creating The Good Care Group at Riverstone in West London (2018), and introducing our hourly care service (2022).
Since 2009, we have maintained exceptional standards, professionalising care and making it a respected career.
Our team
The Good Care Group is made up of experienced specialists who care passionately about the sector they are in. Many members of our team have personal experiences with the care industry and understand intimately the difference high quality care can make in someone’s life. Our rigorous recruitment process
Our highly-trained and compassionate carers are the reason we’re leading the way in live-in services across the UK. Unlike introductory agencies, we employ, train and manage all our carers beyond the industry standard. Our recruitment process is so rigorous only 2% of carers who apply are successful. Our staff are paid well, supported and rewarded for loyalty and performance because we know this empowers them to provide the very best care to our clients.
CQC and CI regulated care for England and Scotland
As a fully-regulated provider, we take part in routine inspections from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England, and the Care Inspectorate (CI) in Scotland.
We’re currently rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, and ‘Very Good’ by the CI, placing us within the top 3% of home care providers for our safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive care.
